The Premier League table is beginning to take shape ahead of night eight action at the Uber Arena in Berlin.
Jonny Clayton currently leads the way on 19 points following a strong start on his return to the competition, while Luke Littler closed the gap to just three points after securing his second nightly win in Dublin.
Littler somehow fought back from 5-0 down to win 6-5 in last week’s final against Gerwyn Price, producing one of the most incredible comebacks in the competition’s history.
The 19-year-old will aim to continue that momentum in Germany on Thursday night, starting with a showdown against Stephen Bunting.
Luke Humphries, on the other hand, is looking to finally clinch his first nightly win as NineDartNews predicts how the evening could play out.
Jonny Clayton vs Josh Rock
In arguably the easiest game to predict on paper, high-flying Clayton faces Josh Rock in a battle between first and last in the Premier League.

The Ferret is on FIRE 🔥

Clayton has been exceptional across the first seven nights, and it took some brilliance from Humphries to finally end his unbeaten run in quarter-finals so far.
Rock, meanwhile, has been by far the worst player in the competition, aside from hitting a nine-darter in Belfast. The 24-year-old has lost all seven of his matches and was even whitewashed 6-0 by Price last week.
A drastic turnaround is needed for Rock to finally win and climb off the bottom, but he’s even struggling away from the Premier League after losing 6-4 against Kim Huybrechts in the last 32 of the Belgian Darts Open.
Clayton reached the final of that tournament, only to lose against Humphries, and we expect the Ferret to pile more misery onto his opponent on Thursday.
Prediction: Clayton 6-1 Rock
Luke Humphries vs Michael van Gerwen
Humphries is brimming with confidence after winning the Belgian Darts Open on Sunday, collecting the ninth European Tour trophy of his career.
The 31-year-old was at his menacing best throughout the tournament, not only smashing his opponent in the scoring phase, but finally finding consistency with his finishing.
It’s poor doubling that has prevented Cool Hand from winning a Premier League night so far, and his bid to end that trend starts against Michael van Gerwen.
The Dutchman was outstanding despite losing 6-5 against Littler last week, and followed that up with a run to the semi-finals of European Tour 3 before being smashed 7-2 by Humphries.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE TO MAKE THE FINAL! 🤯

Luke Humphries, that is insane! 👏
The world number two pins a stunning 129 checkout to beat Michael van Gerwen 7-2 to advance to the final!

Van Gerwen could do nothing to stop the world No. 2’s onslaught as he only had five attempts at double across the match.
If Humphries can replicate that 105 average and 50% (7/14) on the checkouts, he could hand the Green Machine his fifth Premier League defeat in a row.
Prediction: Humphries 6-3 Van Gerwen
Luke Littler vs Stephen Bunting
Littler made a slow start to the Premier League by his high standards, but the Nuke has exploded into life after winning two of the last three weeks.
The world champion was exceptional in wins over Bunting and Van Gerwen on night seven, before showing incredible resilience and resolve to come back from 5-0 down to beat Price in the final.
He’s arguably the only player in the sport who could turn a five-nil deficit on its head under those circumstances, and he will aim to continue this momentum when he faces Bunting for the second time in as many weeks.
The Bullet was unfortunate to lose 6-3 against Littler last week after averaging 104.10, with the teenager punishing him in the decisive moments.
Bunting then followed that defeat with a shock exit at the hands of Andy Baetens in the last 32 of the Belgian Darts Open, where he averaged just 85.28 in a 6-4 loss.
Littler was also shockingly beaten 6-5 by Niels Zonneveld in the last 16 of that tournament, but he did average 103.20, and a similar level should put Bunting to the sword on Thursday.
Prediction: Littler 6-2 Bunting
Gerwyn Price vs Gian van Veen
Price is arguably playing some of his best darts on the PDC stage, and that was proven during last week’s action in Dublin.
The Iceman produced ton-plus averages in 6-0 and 6-1 demolitions of Rock and Humphries, respectively, before watching his level drop in the final.
The 40-year-old remains a strong contender to finish in the top four if he maintains his current standard, something he will want to continue against Gian van Veen.
Van Veen was ruled out of night seven after being diagnosed with kidney stones. But following this minor setback, the 23-year-old will be desperate to find the levels he showed in the opening weeks to recover his play-off place.
Still only two points behind Humphries in fourth, Van Veen has already shown he belongs in the Premier League. However, he could be feeling the effects of his recent health issues, and Price will have no sympathy.
Prediction: Price 6-4 Van Veen
Semi-finals
Clayton 3-6 Humphries
Littler 6-4 Price
Final
Humphries 6-5 Littler
