Adam Sevada sealed the 2026 bet365 North American Championship title at Madison Square Garden by beating Jim Long 6-1, confirming another major-stage step for the American thrower.
The PDC event in New York gave Sevada a second stage assignment of the weekend after his US Darts Masters appearance against James Wade, but this one carried the larger long-term reward.
Sevada opened the North American Championship with a 6-0 win over Alex Spellman, then beat Gary Mawson 6-3 before overpowering Long in the final. The run mattered because the tournament is a direct route into the PDC’s biggest winter picture, with the winner earning a place at Alexandra Palace and the Grand Slam of Darts.
Sevada Turns New York Stage Into Launchpad
According to the official PDC report on Sevada’s North American Championship win, the title came with a dominant final display after a sharp semi-final against Mawson.
For Sevada, that changes the texture of the next few months. Instead of leaving New York with only a World Series defeat to Wade, he leaves with silverware, qualification certainty and another high-pressure PDC stage performance in the bank.
Long’s earlier upset of Josh Rock still made him one of the stories of the week, but Sevada’s finishing surge ensured the North American headline belonged to the United States.
