Luke Humphries Joins Van Gerwen In US Darts Masters Two-Time Club

Luke Humphries retained the US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden on Saturday morning UK time, beating Luke Littler 8-7 in New York to become only the second two-time winner of the PDC World Series event.

The final gave the latest Humphries-Littler meeting a sharp tournament-history edge. Littler reached the title match after beating Jim Long 6-1 and James Wade 7-4, but Humphries came through Stephen Bunting and Gian van Veen before edging the deciding leg against his England World Cup team-mate.

That result puts Humphries alongside Michael van Gerwen, who won the US Darts Masters in 2017 and 2023, as the only players to lift the New York title twice. The US Darts Masters live results recorded Humphries’ 8-7 final victory and the £30,000 winner’s prize.

Humphries Adds New York Control To Littler Rivalry

The timing matters as much as the trophy. Humphries arrived in New York with the Premier League and World Cup narrative still orbiting Littler, but his Madison Square Garden defence gives him a fresh statement before the season rolls towards Blackpool and the World Matchplay.

Littler still leaves with another World Series final and a £16,000 runner-up cheque, yet this was Humphries’ night: a title defence, a deciding-leg win, and another reminder that the sport’s headline rivalry is not moving in one direction.
