Luke Littler has revealed he would love to play darts at Old Trafford, giving his US Darts Masters build-up a fresh Manchester United twist before this week’s World Series stop in New York.
The world champion is in the United States ahead of the bet365 US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden, where the PDC’s leading names return to the New York stage on Thursday and Friday.
Littler’s latest comments carry obvious crossover appeal. The teenager is a public Manchester United supporter and has already taken the Sid Waddell Trophy to Old Trafford, but his latest ambition goes a step further: a darts night staged inside one of English football’s most recognisable venues.
Littler Links Darts Boom To Old Trafford Ambition
Speaking before the New York event, Littler said he would want to play in front of the Stretford End if darts ever came to Old Trafford, according to The Scottish Sun.
It is not a fixture announcement, but it underlines how far Littler’s profile has travelled beyond the oche. PDC darts is already testing bigger rooms across the World Series, and Madison Square Garden remains one of the clearest examples of the sport chasing mainstream stages.
For Littler, the immediate task is still competitive. New York offers another chance to extend his grip on the sport’s headline events, with Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting and Josh Rock also part of a heavyweight US Darts Masters field.
