Michael van Gerwen is among the headline names still shaping the Slovak Darts Open final day in Bratislava, where the inaugural European Tour event reaches its decisive Sunday sessions.

The ninth European Tour event of 2026 runs from 19-21 June at the Incheba in the Slovakian capital, with 48 players competing across the weekend. Van Gerwen survived a tight Saturday night test, beating Krzysztof Ratajski 6-5, while Stephen Bunting edged Niels Zonneveld by the same score and Nathan Aspinall defeated Jim Long 6-4.

Gerwyn Price is already out after a 6-2 defeat to Cameron Menzies, leaving the draw with a different shape heading into the final day. The remaining Sunday programme includes the third round before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final settle the first Slovak Darts Open title, according to Sky Sports’ updated schedule and results.

Van Gerwen Has A Clear Bratislava Opening

For Van Gerwen, the immediate importance is momentum. Luke Littler and Luke Humphries are absent after England’s World Cup of Darts win, while Price’s exit removes another major name from the route to silverware.

That makes Sunday a valuable chance for Van Gerwen to turn a survival act into a title push. NineDartNews has already tracked his last-16 place alongside Bunting, but the final day now becomes about whether the biggest remaining names can withstand the compressed format and close out Bratislava’s first PDC European Tour weekend.
