Jonny Clayton is eight points clear at the top of the Premier League ahead of night six, and the Welshman is aiming to make it a hat-trick of nightly wins in Dublin.
Clayton has returned to the competition in a rampant fashion, continuing his dream start with victory in Glasgow and then proving unstoppable in Nottingham.
The Ferret defeated Michael van Gerwen, Stephen Bunting and Luke Humphries to claim the £10,000 nightly prize after demolishing Humphries 6-1.
The 52-year-old opens night seven with a repeat of that final in Nottingham, and another victory over Cool Hand can set him on his way to making Premier League history.
Jonny Clayton can beat Luke Littler’s Premier League record
An unbelievable start to the tournament means Clayton is a shoo-in for the play-offs. The world No. 5 has finished in the top four in each of his previous three appearances, and it would take an almighty collapse for him to fumble a place at the 02 Arena.

Clayton’s world-class performances are arguably fuelled by a desire to prove people wrong after being left out in 2024 and 2025.
That determination is reflected by the statistics, with Clayton posting the fourth-best average in the competition (98.3) and the highest checkout percentage (47.88%).
Indeed, continuing to perform at that level will make him a difficult player to stop and could see him break a record that was set by Littler.
In 2025, the Nuke became the first player in Premier League history to win six nights in a campaign before losing in the final to Humphries.
That means Clayton would have to win five of the last 10 nights to smash Littler’s record. A difficult feat to achieve, but not impossible, and the Welshman will feel even more confident about his chances if he wins in Dublin.
Clayton targeting two points a night
While a record is there to be broken, Clayton has tempered expectations ahead of night seven and is targeting two points a week instead.
| Pos | Player | Nights Won | Pts |
| 1 | Jonny Clayton | 2 | 19 |
| 2 | Luke Littler | 1 | 11 |
| 3 | Gerwyn Price | 1 | 9 |
| 4 | Gian van Veen | 0 | 9 |
| 5 | Luke Humphries | 0 | 9 |
| 6 | Michael van Gerwen | 1 | 8 |
| 7 | Stephen Bunting | 1 | 7 |
| 8 | Josh Rock | 0 | 0 |
“I’ve been here before, got a little experience, and I know what it’s all about. That obviously helps,” he told Sky Sports.
“If I can pick up two points every week, I will stay at the top of that leaderboard. That’s my aim.”
Two points each night would almost guarantee his place in Finals Night at London’s O2, with the world No. 5 explaining how much it would mean to win his second Premier League.
“It would mean everything to win the title again. I always say the Premier League is my favourite tournament,” Clayton added.
“You play against the best week in, week out. To lift the trophy, ahead of those other players, would be fantastic. The only other trophy that would beat it is the World Championship.
“I’ve lifted this trophy and I enjoy every second of competing in the Premier League, so hopefully it’s going to be one of my tournaments.
“Winning that trophy for a second time would be a great achievement.”
