PDC Europe Female Caller Search Opens Sindelfingen Audition Route

PDC Europe has opened applications for its first female caller, with shortlisted candidates set for a live audition at the Next Gen tournament in Sindelfingen on August 15-16.

The official call-out, published on June 25, asks applicants to submit a video of no more than two minutes before the July 26 deadline. Candidates must include a short introduction in German or English, call three required scores – 180, 100 and 26 – add one score of their choice, and deliver the player announcements that start a leg, including “Game on”.

It is a small operational change with a big stage attached. PDC Europe events have become a major part of the sport’s public soundscape, from European Tour weekends to gala nights, and the caller role is one of the most recognisable voices in the arena.

Sindelfingen Audition Sets Clear Path

The strongest applicants will be invited to perform under match conditions at the PDC Europe Next Gen tournament in Sindelfingen. PDC Europe says Russ Bray, Katharina Kleinfeldt, Philip Brzezinski, Daniela Bata and Franz Engerer will sit on the expert jury, with winners earning the chance to call on a major PDC Europe gala stage.

The organisation said the longer-term aim is to welcome a female caller into the PDC Europe family, making the PDC Europe female caller search a route into regular event work rather than a one-night novelty.
