Matt Campbell will return to Madison Square Garden this week as the North American Championship field plays for a route into the PDC World Championship and Grand Slam of Darts. The eight-player event is scheduled for Friday, June 26, alongside the bet365 US Darts Masters in New York.
The PDC has confirmed the North American Championship will again sit inside US Darts Masters week, with regional qualifiers joining the New York bill while Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and the PDC elite contest the World Series event.
Campbell Back On Familiar New York Stage
Campbell is the obvious headline name after retaining the North American title in 2025, when he beat fellow Canadian Jim Long 6-3 in the final. His return gives the event a proper defending-champion thread, even before the wider qualification stakes are considered.
The PDC says the 2026 field has been confirmed for both the US Darts Masters and the North American Championship, with the MSG programme carrying the added prize of places in the 2026/27 World Darts Championship and the 2026 Grand Slam of Darts for the eligible winner.
That turns Friday afternoon into more than a regional showcase. For the North American players, it is a short-format shootout with Alexandra Palace and Wolverhampton consequences attached, before the US Darts Masters reaches its own conclusion later in the day.
The full field and event details were confirmed by the PDC’s US Darts Masters and North American Championship announcement.
