PDCTV Launches TV Apps Ahead Of US Darts Masters In New York

PDCTV has launched on TV apps, giving darts fans a new big-screen route to PDC coverage before the US Darts Masters begins in New York this week.

The Professional Darts Corporation confirmed on Monday, June 22, that PDCTV is now available through TV apps for the first time, a practical upgrade for subscribers who want to watch major events away from a laptop, phone or tablet.

The timing is useful for a busy World Series week. Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and several of the sport’s biggest names are due in New York for the US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden, with the event starting on Thursday, June 25.

Big-screen option lands before a major World Series week

The PDC says the move will let fans watch darts’ biggest moments on the big screen, according to its official PDCTV update.

For NineDartNews readers, the key point is simple: the broadcast product is being sharpened just as the calendar moves toward a high-profile American stop and then the deeper summer run into World Matchplay season.

That matters because darts is no longer only chasing the existing hardcore audience. Littler’s rise, Humphries’ consistency and the growing World Series schedule have widened demand, and easier living-room access gives the PDC another way to convert casual interest into regular viewing.

The launch will not decide a leg in New York, but it does show the commercial direction around the sport. Darts wants to look, feel and behave like a bigger entertainment product, and PDCTV’s TV-app arrival fits that push.
