Luke Littler 182 Checkout Route Stuns PDC Commentator At US Darts Masters

Luke Littler turned a 182 checkout route into the sharpest talking point from the US Darts Masters in New York after choosing treble 20, treble 20, treble 20 and double one during his quarter-final win over Jim Long.

The world champion was already in command at Madison Square Garden when he left 182, a finish that cannot be completed in three darts. Rather than move down the board, Littler hit the maximum to leave double one and then pinned it first dart.

Littler Adds Theatre Before Humphries Final

The moment came before Littler beat James Wade to reach the final, where Luke Humphries later retained the title 8-7 in a deciding leg. talkSPORT reported the New York exchange, including the commentator’s mock disbelief at Littler’s confidence.

For Littler, the leg mattered less than the message. He was relaxed enough on a World Series stage to turn a non-finish into a statement of control, and the crowd at the Garden had another snapshot of why his game travels so easily.

Humphries still left New York with the trophy, but Littler left with another viral darts moment and another reminder that his biggest pull is not just winning legs. It is the way he makes routine pressure feel like theatre, even when the scoreboard already says he is in charge.
