Jim Long Adam Sevada Final Sets North American Darts Championship Stakes

Jim Long and Adam Sevada will meet in Friday’s 2026 North American Darts Championship final in New York, with a World Championship place and Grand Slam spot riding on the result.

The North American eight-player event has cut to its last two at Madison Square Garden, where Long has carried his Thursday upset of Josh Rock into another deep run and Sevada has backed up his status as one of the strongest American names in the field.

Long opened the afternoon by beating Brayden Hall 6-1, then survived Fred Krueger 6-5 in the semi-finals. Sevada produced the cleanest early statement of the bracket, whitewashing Alex Spellman 6-0 before seeing off Gary Mawson 6-3, according to The Sporting News results tracker.

Long momentum meets Sevada control

The stakes are bigger than a standalone regional title. The winner earns a route into the 2026/27 PDC World Darts Championship and a Grand Slam of Darts place later this year, turning one race to six legs into a season-shaping match.

For Long, it is another chance to turn New York form into a major calendar reward after becoming the only North American player to beat a PDC representative in the US Darts Masters first round. For Sevada, the final is an opportunity to convert his scoring edge into the qualification prize attached to this event.
