Adam Sevada MSG Title Win Locks In Grand Slam And Ally Pally Return

Adam Sevada turned Madison Square Garden into a career marker by beating Jim Long 6-1 to win the 2026 North American Darts Championship.

The American number one’s final surge, confirmed by PDC social coverage and live result reporting, carried more than regional silverware. It secured Sevada’s route into the Grand Slam of Darts and the 2027 PDC World Darts Championship.

That makes the result a sharp escalation from the Long-Sevada final set-up earlier in the day, when Long’s US Darts Masters upset over Josh Rock had given the Canadian the stronger stage narrative.

Sevada turns final route into statement

Sevada had already signalled his level by whitewashing Alex Spellman 6-0 and then beating Gary Mawson 6-3 in the semi-final. The final removed any lingering doubt about who controlled the afternoon session.

The live bracket listed Sevada’s 6-1 win over Long after earlier victories for Long, Fred Krueger, Sevada and Mawson in the quarter-finals.

For Sevada, the timing is important. He had already entered the week as the leading American storyline, but lifting the North American title at MSG gives him a cleaner platform before the Grand Slam and another Ally Pally campaign.

It also puts extra heat on the North American circuit itself. Sevada did not merely survive the qualification shootout; he closed it with the kind of one-sided final score that travels beyond the room.
