PDC chief executive Matt Porter has hailed a new ESPN agreement that will put five of the sport’s biggest events on ESPN2 and ESPN+ in the United States. The deal, announced by Matchroom on 25 June, starts with the US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden and then rolls into a run of major PDC tournaments across the rest of 2026.
The package gives American viewers live access to the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts and World Darts Championship, as well as the New York World Series stop. Porter called the United States an increasingly important market and said the aim was to bring world-class darts to more fans through the new ESPN broadcast agreement.
ESPN Deal Sharpens PDC’s US Play
The timing matters. Luke Humphries’ dramatic US Darts Masters defence against Luke Littler gave the PDC another high-profile Madison Square Garden week, but this agreement stretches the American push beyond one showcase event.
For US viewers, the next key marker is Blackpool, with the World Matchplay scheduled for 18-26 July at the Winter Gardens. The World Grand Prix follows in Leicester from 28 September to 4 October, before the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton from 14-22 November.
Further World Championship broadcast details are still to come, but the direction is clear: the PDC now has a stronger US platform for its biggest names and its biggest nights.
