Cameron Menzies Faces Tom Sykes After Gerwyn Price Slovak Darts Open Win

Cameron Menzies will face Tom Sykes in the Slovak Darts Open last 16 on Sunday after knocking out Gerwyn Price in Bratislava. The Scot’s 6-2 win over Price was one of the defining results of Saturday night’s second round, and it has put him one match away from the quarter-finals on the final day of the European Tour event, which is being staged in Slovakia for the first time.

The updated Sunday draw also leaves several major names in the afternoon session. Rob Cross faces Kevin Doets, Michael van Gerwen plays Andrew Gilding, Chris Dobey meets Ross Smith and Stephen Bunting takes on Wessel Nijman as the field is cut down before the evening’s quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

Menzies Gets Clear Route Into Final-Day Contention

The Menzies-Sykes match matters because both players are now dealing with the immediate reward of Saturday shocks. Menzies removed a 10-time European Tour winner in Price, while Sykes came through a deciding-leg win over Martin Schindler.

With the final stages all packed into one day, momentum can shift quickly. Menzies has already produced the statement result; now the challenge is backing it up against Sykes, with the full Sunday schedule confirmed by PDC Europe’s official Slovak Darts Open listings.
