Adam Sevada Ally Pally Spot Sealed By North American Title

Adam Sevada has turned his Madison Square Garden week into a major-stage breakthrough after winning the 2026 bet365 North American Darts Championship in New York.

The American number one beat Canada’s Jim Long 6-1 in Friday’s final, completing a decisive run through the continental field and securing a return to the PDC’s biggest winter stage.

Sevada’s title came on the same New York bill as the US Darts Masters, giving the result extra visibility in a week dominated by Luke Humphries and Luke Littler. For North American darts, though, the key development was Sevada converting regional form into a televised PDC title.

Sevada’s New York Win Changes His Calendar

The PDC confirmed that Sevada’s victory sealed his place at the Paddy Power World Darts Championship and the Grand Slam of Darts, with the 40-year-old also collecting his maiden North American Championship crown via a controlled final performance.

According to the PDC’s North American Championship report, Sevada defeated Long 6-1 after earlier wins over Alex Spellman and Gary Mawson.

That matters because Sevada now has a second-half-of-year platform beyond the CDC race. A World Championship place keeps him in the Ally Pally conversation, while the Grand Slam slot offers a group-stage chance against elite PDC opposition.

For a US scene seeking another sustained name on the global board, Sevada’s New York title gives the next few months a sharper edge.
